This prequel starts fourteen years before the events in Creatus Book One. I highly recommend you read this prequel first so you can get a look into the characters' lives leading up to the full story. Prepare yourself for a cliffhanger ending, though.
Rating note: Although this story would probably receive a PG-13 rating, the content is appropriate for ages sixteen and older due to alcohol and drug use. Neither, however, is ever glorified. There are also some scenes of driving under the influence. Please know that I do not condone these actions; they are only used to display the character's state at the time.
About the Author
Although all of Carmen's stories have a common thread--romance, mystery, and suspense--not all of her novels are supernatural. Her first five books are romantic-suspense whodunits. They are all stand-alone novels; however, she does link each of her stories with a little surprise. She also has a series of mysteries with a ghostly edge.
